We’re excited to tell you about our August 2024 updates to NuORDER’s Promotions feature. These new updates make it easier to find the right promo, customize your audience and offer expanded promotions such as conditional free shipping.
Here’s what’s changed and how to use Promotions to drive sales:
Create Promotions by Type: Order or Product
Now, Order and Product promotions are more customizable so you have greater flexibility and control – we’ve added more eligibility rules to the NuORDER platform:
- Product level and inventory eligibility: Apply a Promotion to in-stock and future stock only (ATS) or Prebook items to incentivize specific product-level purchases. Target Promotions based on Inventory types to push old or overstocked inventory or boost more Prebook purchases.
- Specific companies: Now you can apply Promotions to a specific company or to multiple, select companies to curate your audience even more for a particular promotion.
- Multiple rewards: Raise the stakes of buying now and drive additional sales with multiple promos available simultaneously. For example, you can set discounts, shipping rewards and Net Terms offers as a single promotion.
New Rewards Types
You can now create custom Free Shipping and Net Terms promotions to add urgency. Since these two rewards are configurable separately from Shipping Promotions and Customer Record and Payments, you can set these as conditional promotions your customers can access during the self-serve ordering process:
- Free Shipping: Customize the eligibility rules for Free Shipping to apply to an order. Once these rules are met, NuORDER will offset the shipping amount with a credit to the order.
- Net Terms: You can allow special Net Terms to apply to an order by customizing eligibility rules. This promo doesn’t change your usual Net Terms with your customers, so you can leave your Customer Record and Payments data unchanged and the next order will apply your normal Net Terms.
Using Promotions
NuORDER is giving you more tools and it’s up to you how you use Promotions. With these and existing Promotions functionality, you can tailor your promo strategies to individual retailers or groups of companies, with more potential eligibility rules.
You can encourage purchases that help you reduce inventory of specific products, increase overall sales with specific accounts or pursue more than one approach at the same time with multiple rewards options.
Accessing the Promotions Feature
We also streamlined the UI (user interface) so you can find what you need faster when you’re planning and configuring your next Promotion. The Create button is now at the top of the screen where it’s visible whenever you’re in the Promotions screen — just remember to select Save as you make changes.
To create a new Promotion, head to the left navigation menu, go to Settings > Brand Admin > Promotions > Manage Promotions.
From this page, you can view your Manage Promotions table and see Active and Inactive Promotions. You can also set up different configurations for your Promotions and edit Eligibility Rules from the Promotions section.
