Chubbies is a brand of fun, casual, “custom-built-for-the-weekend” apparel for men, boys, and toddlers. Launched to offer alternatives to the longer and more complex shorts designs on the market, today Chubbies’ apparel lines also include swimwear, athletic designs, golf wear, resort wear and more. 

The opportunity

Before Chubbies integrated NuORDER by Lightspeed with NetSuite, the wholesale customer and operations specialist at Chubbies would need 3-7 days (up to 40 hours a week) to refresh their linesheets with new products every season. It was a cumbersome, manual process designed to avoid errors as their data often changed. She would need to find a product on an Excel spreadsheet, type its style number into NuORDER, then drag and drop the product into the linesheet with a specific line separator group name. 

Not only was it tedious work, but it was also duplicative. The task would already be completed in NetSuite, then they’d need to repeat the process in NuORDER. In order to shift her efforts towards other essential wholesale tasks, she needed to be able to reclaim considerable amounts of time.

The solution

Develop a unique integration that syncs two ways

The innovative swimwear brand hoped to fully integrate their enterprise resource planning (ERP) system NetSuite with NuORDER’s wholesale platform in a brand-new way that would truly mirror the way they envisioned running their wholesale business internally.

They instantly feature the correct line separator group names, no manual intervention needed, while they pull products directly from NetSuite. Now the entire linesheet creation process can take as little as an hour, or only up to three hours if they need to re-merchandise their assortments.
