NuORDER by Lightspeed deepens its presence in the Italian fashion industry and highlights the team's experience at the 108th edition of Pitti Uomo.
The wonderful time we had at Pitti Uomo mirrors our excitement for our growing involvement inside the Italian fashion industry. The NuORDER team traveled to Florence, Italy to experience the 108th edition of the iconic fashion trade event in person. In true Italian style, Pitti Uomo took place at a breathtaking location — the majestic Fortezza da Basso, an incredible Renaissance-era fortress.
And business was as exciting as the setting with a much more international brand lineup than usual, and with brands reporting they were getting a lot of traction from international buyers. In fact, the strong signs of global expansion included attendance by top-tier buyers from some of the finest luxury multi-brand retailers in the world.
The Florentine fair also put bicycles in the spotlight with their Pitti Bikes theme. The entire show was connected with a design concept of a virtual bike. Pitti Bikes celebrated freedom, style, and interconnectedness, but also urban mobility. The concept merged sport tech and lifestyle for an interesting aesthetic that’s a great fit for the rising gorpcore trend (outdoor clothing and outdoor gear transcending functionality as shoppers sport it as an everyday streetwear aesthetic).
For edition 108, the guest of honor was none other than NuORDER client Issey Miyake. The brand showcased their SS26 collection in a special live fashion show. The legendary Japanese brand presented pleating innovation, tech fabrics, durability, and a strong global sensibility.
